The San Jose Giants are already three games into the season. That roster is headlined by top middle infield prospect Jhonny Level, along with a pair of emerging pitchers in Argenis Cayama and Keyner Martinez.

San Jose took two of the first three games against the Stockton Ports in the opening series of the season. Level played a huge role in both of those wins.

On Thursday night, Level collected three hits and an RBI in a 12-8 win over the Ports. On Saturday, he tallied four hits, including a double and a home run, with three RBI in a convincing 15-4 victory.

The switch-hitting middle infielder will be a name to follow this season. He was originally signed during the 2024 international signing period for just under $1 million out of Venezuela. Since then, Level has emerged as one of the top prospects in the Giants' farm system. More recently, he has made his way into MLB Pipeline's top-100 prospect list.

Level had a productive 2025 season. He began the year with the Arizona Complex League (ACL) Giants, and put up an .869 OPS with nine home runs and 38 RBI in 261 plate appearances before that season concluded. He saw 147 more plate appearances in the California League to finish out the minor league season.

The group of outfielders includes Cam Maldonado and Damian Bravo, both of whom were selected in last year's draft. Maldonado was a seventh-round pick out of Northeastern University, whereas Maldonado was a 15th-round pick out of Texas Tech.

Junior Barajas rounds out the catching contingent. He is the son of longtime catcher Rod Barajas. There has been some positive buzz about him since he was selected in the 11th round of last year's draft. He has a 1.455 OPS in 11 plate appearances so far.

The pitching staff features Argenis Cayama and Keyner Martinez. Both pitchers played with Jhonny Level in the ACL before finishing the year with San Jose. Cayama had a 2.25 ERA in 12 ACL outings, and Martinez had a 1.90 ERA in 15 appearances in the ACL.

That pitching staff also has Cody Delvecchio on it. Delvecchio registered four scoreless ininngs with six strikeouts and one walk in an impressive pro debut. While San Jose's roster is on the younger side, there is still a lot of talent on it.
