The rosters for next week's All-Star Game have been announced and three SF Giants players have made it onto the National League team. However, there were three Giants who were also deserving who ended up getting snubbed.
Logan Webb, Robbie Ray, and Randy Rodríguez will all represent the Giants in Atlanta after incredible first-half showings. Yet, Heliot Ramos, Rafael Devers, and Tyler Rogers were all worthy of consideration as well.
Three SF Giants players who were snubbed from All-Star roster
Heliot Ramos
Ramos was an All-Star in 2024 and has followed up that impressive campaign with another one as he is currently slashing .273/.349/.452 with 14 home runs and 47 runs batted in. He has had to single-handedly carry an anemic Giants offense at times so he was certainly deserving of another trip to the All-Star Game.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of big-name outfielders in the National League who have had more attention on them so Ramos did not get much traction in fan voting. It will probably make Ramos feel better that Juan Soto was also left off the team as well, so he is in good company.
Ramos will benefit from the time off though so he can rest his back after having to carry the offense at times during the first half.
Rafael Devers
Even though Devers is a new addition to the Giants and the numbers he put up while with the Boston Red Sox are what would have earned him a spot on the roster, he had a legitimate case to make the team.
In 2025 on the whole, Devers is slashing .265/.391/.481 with 17 home runs and 67 runs driven in. His numbers have dipped a bit since joining the Giants, but those are still solid numbers for the first half.
The All-Star break should give him a chance to rest up his groin because the Giants are going to need him to be the best version of himself in the second half.
Tyler Rogers
There was a time this season when it seemed like three Giants relievers had legitimate cases to be All-Stars. While only Rodríguez got the nod, Tyler Rogers could have easily had a strong case to make the team as well.
In an MLB-high 45 appearances on the season, Rogers has a 1.66 ERA. He has been a bastion of consistency in his career and has been one of the most reliable relievers in baseball since 2021 so he was more than deserving of an All-Star nod.
Yet, it is tough for relievers who are not closers with high save totals to make the roster which is what makes it even more impressive that Randy Rodríguez got the nod. It is tough for Rogers, but he could use the time off with how much the Giants rely upon him.
The Giants should be happy they have three All-Stars this season, but it is unfortunate that these three deserving players were snubbed.
