The SF Giants are in the midst of a four-game winning streak and look to continue that rally against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Staff ace Logan Webb will be tabbed to keep the streak alive.

Webb was effectively wild in his last outing. He held the Los Angeles Dodgers scoreless through six innings with five strikeouts against three walks. It is hard to ask for much more against a talened lineup like Los Angeles.

On the year, Webb has a 3.03 ERA, 2.97 FIP, 1.34 WHIP, 7.1 K/9, and a 2.76 SO/W ratio through 10 starts. This includes a 58.4 percent ground ball rae

Who it hot?

Luis Matos was the hottest player last week. He had a two-game stretch where he tallied 11 RBI against the Colorado Rockies. Overall, he slammed two home runs with 16 RBI while earning Player of the Week honors.

He was highlighted in Sunday's game notes, so we will focus on Matt Chapman. Chapman got off to a slow start, but it is still early in the year and things can turn around quickly. In the series against the Rockies, the righty bat registered eight hits, including four doubles, in 10 at-bats. In one series, his .599 OPS jumped up to a respectable .690 OPS.

Who are the SF Giants facing?

The Giants will face off against Martín Pérez. Pérez has a 4.86 ERA in nine starts in 2024. This includes a recent outing against the Giants in which he pitched six scoreless innings. The southpaw pitcher has had a lot of traffic on the bases, so the Giants will need to be patient and take advantage of his mistakes.
