The SF Giants have been the hottest team in baseball over the past two weeks. Their 10-3 record in their last 13 games is tied for the best in the league, and their offensive trio is finally hitting its stride. Here are three reasons why the Giants will make the postseason after all in 2025.

3 reasons SF Giants will make the playoffs

1. Rafael Devers is on fire

If the Giants are going to make the playoffs, it is going to be because of Rafael Devers. The Giants' major trade acquisition is finally paying off, with Devers going scorched earth over the past few weeks. He ranks fourth in baseball over the past month with a 1.032 OPS, and he's been even better in the past two weeks, with a 1.175 OPS.

If Devers stays hot, he can continue to carry the Giants offense all the way to the postseason.

2. The bullpen has been dominant

San Francisco's bullpen has been dominant all season. Their bullpen ranks second in ERA (3.32), second in WHIP (1.20), and seventh in opponent batting average (.233). Even with Randy Rodríguez out for the year and Tyler Rogers traded to the Mets, the Giants still have the talent in their bullpen to make a run.

During their winning streak in the past two weeks, Ryan Walker and Joel Peguero both have ERAs of 0.00. Spencer Bivens has a 1.35 ERA in the same stretch, and both Jose Butto (3.00) and Joey Lucchesi (3.38) have looked good as well.

3. The schedule is light the rest of the way

The Giants' schedule lightens up the rest of the way. Outside of their seven games against the Dodgers, San Francisco does not play any other teams above .500. Their final 22 games include six against the Diamondbacks and six against the Cardinals, a pair of teams that have been struggling since the trade deadline.

If the Giants can take advantage of their easy schedule the rest of the way, they can keep their winning ways alive and surge into the playoffs.

While it might feel like a long shot, the Giants are still very alive in the NL Wild Card race at four games back. With a powerful offensive attack, a dominant bullpen, and an easy schedule the rest of the way, San Francisco can continue their surge into the postseason.
