Triple-A: The Salt Lake Bees swept a four game series against the Sacramento River Cats. This game was a 7-4 score, with all seven runs unearned. It keeps the ERA’s down, but doesn’t help the team trim the deficit. Two errors in the game contributed to the loss, and the River Cats were only able to push across four runs. DH Mac Williamson hit his second home run of the young season, and 2B Ramiro Pena went 2-5 including a two-out, two-RBI single in the seventh. Starter Matt Lujan (0-1) gave up eight hits, but was really put in a bad spot by a throwing error in the second by Hak-Ju Lee. The bullpen did a good job holding the Bees to just one unearned run in the seventh.

Low-A: Today was a good day for both 2B Jalen Miller and 3B Kelvin Beltre at the plate. Miller went 2-5 with three RBI’s and a triple in the 9-2 Augusta Green Jackets victory over the Rome Braves. Beltre also went 2-5, but drove in four runs while scoring twice. He extended his hitting streak to three games. The pitching did its job with starter Grant Watson (1-0), going five and two-thirds and giving up a run on four hits. Tyler Cyr came on to pitch two and a third, giving up a run and striking out four. Ryan Halstead pitched a scoreless ninth.
