We finally have a full look at the new SF Giants uniforms (and fans dig the piping)

We have known for some time that the SF Giants are going to debut a new jersey and uniform this season as part of their new "Fiesta Gigantes" initiatives at Saturday home games at Oracle Park. We have now gotten the first full look at what the jersey will look like and they are pretty sharp.

A user on social media shared what the full jersey will look like and it is basically the same as what was leaked earlier in the month. The jerseys are black and say "Gigantes" on the front in a unique font that seems to pay homage to the font used on Giants jerseys back in the 1980s.

The user also noted the unique piping that is on the trim of the jerseys as well as the "Gigantes" type on the front and the number on the back. It seems to be a nod to Latino history and culture which makes sense since "Fiesta Gigantes Saturdays" are supposed to celebrate the Latino community.

Also, a user on Reddit shared what the new Gigantes uniform looks like in the new video game MLB The Show 26 and it looks like the Giants will wear gray hats with the uniforms which would be a new look.

Now the Giants will have two black jerseys. The new City Connect uniforms they debuted last season are black and had orange and purple as well as a unique font. They were a bit divisive when they first came out but they seemed to grow on fans throughout the year.

Patrick Bailey having one of the most memorable walk-offs in Oracle Park history on an inside-the-park home run while the team sported its City Connects probably helped more judgmental eyes adjust to them.

It seems that the Giants will probably debut their new jerseys on Saturday, March 28 against the New York Yankees. That is the first home game on a Saturday so it would make sense for the Giants to break them out for the first time.

That first series against the Yankees will be full of firsts. Opening Night will be the first MLB game broadcast on Netflix. It will be the first time that a home opener at Oracle Park was not a day game. Plus, it will be Tony Vitello's first game as a big league manager.

There has been a lot of change with the Giants in the last few years so having a new jersey feels in keeping with the climate of chance surrounding the organization. Let's just hope they get a lot of wins while wearing them.
