The SF Giants took on the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night and got the victory in a 5-2 contest. Not only that, they got the win in front of three popular comedians in attendance: Bill Hader, Ali Wong, and Nick Kroll.
The ballpark camera cut to them and they all smiled and waved at the camera with Hader and Wong, who is a San Francisco native, decked out in Giants gear.

3 comedians make surprise appearance at SF Giants game
Wong and Hader have been in a relationship for the past several years and Kroll seems to be in the Bay Area because he was attending a wedding there based on his Instagram stories.
For any comedy nerds out there who also happen to be huge fans of the Giants, this is a very big deal. Hader of course is famous for his many memorable characters when he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live and has been part of many comedy projects over the years. He wrapped up his endeavor into drama with HBO's Barry last year and is rumored to be working on a project about the Jonestown cult.
Wong is a standup comedian who got her start in the Bay Area and has gone on to be an actress in movies like Always Be My Maybe and the TV show Beef. Her most recent standup special, Single Lady, came out on Netflix last year.
Kroll has been part of many comedy projects over the years as well, as he had a Comedy Central sketch series called Kroll Show back in the day and was the creator of the animated show Big Mouth which wrapped up this year.
While most people assume Los Angeles Dodgers games or New York Yankees games are where the celebrities flock to, it is important to remember that celebs show up to Giants games too. Earlier this month actor and San Francisco native Danny Glover made an appearance at Oracle Park. Actor Benjamin Bratt, who recently starred as Bail Organa in Andor, is a big Giants fans who has shown up at games over the years.
Plus, who could forget back in 2010 when comedy legend and actor Robin Williams, who himself had ties to the Bay Area, came out to get fans fired up ahead of Game One of the NLDS in which Tim Lincecum threw a shutout and got the team started on its path towards the first World Series win since moving to San Francisco.
Who knows, maybe this surprise appearance by three comedians will spur the Giants onto an improbable winning streak that gets them into the playoffs and leads to a World Series win. That's a pretty funny joke. Maybe I could be a comedian, too.
