The SF Giants (3-2) take on the Milwaukee Brewers (3-4) as they look to finish out the month with a win. Logan Webb is slated to take the hill for the Giants.
SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineup vs. Milwaukee Brewers, February 28
Webb will be making his second start of the Cactus League season. He completed two scoreless innings against the Cincinnati Reds in his first outing of the year. Landen Roupp completed three innings against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday, so that should be around the workload Webb should expect to see if he does not run into any trouble.
The Giants wasted no time in announcing Webb as the Opening Day starter last week. It will be his fourth straight Opening Day start, which has only been done three other times in franchise history.
The right-handed hurler is coming off of a solid season in which he posted a 3.47 ERA in 33 starts while earning his first NL All-Star bid and finishing in sixth place in the NL Cy Young voting.
Who is pitching for the SF Giants?
The Giants will have a trio of young pitchers following Webb. Kyle Harrison is scheduled to make his 2025 Cactus League debut. Carson Whisenhunt and Hayden Birdsong are also slated to throw.
Who are the SF Giants facing?
The Giants will be facing off against veteran hurler Freddy Peralta. It was another quality year for Peralta as he tallied a 3.68 ERA in 32 starts for the Brewers. He will generally mix in a mid-90s fastball with a slider, changeup, and occasional curveball.
