The SF Giants have been searching for star power for years, and 2025 might just be the year that some of their young talent break out onto a national stage. Last season, the team saw Heliot Ramos break out and become a first-time All-Star and Logan Webb finally earned his first All-Star nod. This upcoming season, there are a few candidates that have the opportunity to be one of the team's representative's in the Midsummer Classic. Let's take a look at the players with the best chance.

Top SF Giants candidates to make their first All-Star Game in 2025

Patrick Bailey

Patrick Bailey has already established himself as the best defensive catcher in baseball and one of the best defenders overall. His ability to limit the running game, frame at an elite level, and call games has made him one of the more valuable players in all of baseball. However, his offensive consistency has been nothing to write home about.

That being said, Bailey's offense has been consistently better in the first half before falling off a cliff in the second half. If he could even maintain average production throughout an entire season, he has a decent chance to be an All-Star. Given Bailey's elite defense and potential for offensive improvement, he has a legitimate chance to earn his first nod in 2025.

Willy Adames

It's hard to believe Willy Adames wasn't an All-Star last season, considering he mashed 30 plus home runs as a shortstop in his career year with the Brewers. Now, after signing the biggest contract in franchise history, there's no question he has the potential to be a representative for San Francisco.

Adames has a real opportunity to break the Giants' 30 home run drought. Additionally, if his defense returns to the above average level it was at prior to 2024, his chances increase even more. If Adames is the impact bat that the Giants have been looking for for years, he could very well be on a flight to Atlanta during the All-Star break.

Ryan Walker

Ryan Walker made a name for himself in 2024, throwing himself into the conversation for the top 10 relievers in baseball. He posted a sub-2.00 ERA across a heavy workload and took over as the Giants' closer where he thrived towards the end of the season. MLB hitters have been taking notice.

If Walker is able to extend his late-season dominance across an entire-season, there is no doubt that he will be an All-Star. Walker has the tools, including a mid-to-high 90s fastball and elite slider coming from a cross-body delivery, to become one of the best closers in the sport. If he can lock down the ninth inning all year, he could earn his first All-Star nod.

SF Giants Sleeper Picks to make All-Star Game

Jung Hoo Lee

Jung Hoo Lee has been absolutely raking in Spring Training to the tune of a .333/.438/.630 slash line with 2 home runs. If he can carry this into the regular season and put up numbers close to his KBO stats, he can definitely become an All-Star. Lee's ability to hit for contact, get on base, and defend in center give him a real opportunity to break out as one of the best center fielders in baseball.

Tyler Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald made a name for himself in the second half of his rookie year. While the underlying metrics don't love him, the raw production at face value was extremely impressive. If he can replicate his offensive production while playing second base - a position that is relatively weak in the league - he could asbolutely be in the running for an All-Star.

Jordan Hicks

Jordan Hicks was outstanding for the Giants in his first handful of starts in 2024, before fatigue started to set in for the reliever turned starter. If he can sustain his early-season success all the way up to the All-Star break, he could surprise many and be a selection. Putting on close to 15 pounds over the offseason, he hopes to be more durable this season and his electric stuff makes him an intriguing candidate to earn his first nod.

Final Thoughts on SF Giants All-Star chances

The Giants have several players who could make their All-Star game debuts in 2025. Patrick Bailey, Willy Adames, and Ryan Walker lead the way. However, Jung Hoo Lee, Tyler Fitzgerald, and Jordan Hicks could sneak their way into the game. If things go right, San Francisco could have several players representing them in Atlanta when July comes around.
