With the offseason being pretty quiet for the SF Giants so far, it is not a bad time to take a trip down memory lane and recall some great moments in Giants history. Let's take a look at every no-hitter that has been thrown since the team's move to San Francisco.

SF Giants History: Ranking every no-hitter since team's move to San Francisco

10. Blake Snell (2024)

Honestly, forgot this one even happened.

9. Ed Halicki (1975)

Halicki walked two in this game and while any no-hitter is impressive, he got this one in the second game of a double header so the opposing New York Mets may have been a little gassed. Plus, not many Giants fans remember Halicki but that does not take anything away from his feat.

8. John Montefusco (1976)

Another Giants no-hitter deep cut that only the real hardcore fans know. If Giants no-hitters were Weezer songs then Montefusco's would be "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams." He surrendered just one walk and struck out four as he kept the ball on the ground without allowing a hit.

7. Chris Heston (2015)

Heston was not the likeliest candidate to throw a no-hitter in 2015, but the sinkerballer had his best night as a big league pitcher and actually hit three batters without walking any which is impressive. Maybe a little bit more pine tar on the brim of his cap and he would've had a perfect game.

6. Tim Lincecum (2014)

Lincecum may have been on the decline at this point in his career, but he still had the goods against the San Diego Padres who he no-hit the year prior as well. I have a distinct memory of texting my Mom in the seventh inning of this game telling her she had to get home quick but not telling her why so as to not jinx anything and she probably thought the house was on fire or something.

5. Gaylord Perry (1968)

The future Hall of Famer threw a no-hitter in what ended up being a 1-0 game which gave him even more pressure. It's just a shame the Giants traded Perry away a few years later.

4. Juan Marichal (1963)

Yet another Hall of Famer throwing a no-no in a one-run contest, it was the first no-hitter after the franchise moved to San Francisco.

3. Jonathan Sanchez (2009)

Had it not been for an error in the eighth inning, this game could have been a perfect game for Jonathan Sanchez. He was an underrated member of the 2010 pitching staff and his stuff was nasty when he was on his game.

2. Tim Lincecum (2013)

This one is ranked so high partly for personal reasons because it was one of the first games my little sister watched in full. She was not a huge baseball fan at the time and we hoped maybe this would lead to a greater love of the game, but it may have been a bit delayed as she now follows the team very closely.

But the fact that Lincecum was able to have this awesome moment as manager Bruce Bochy let him throw 148 pitches and Hunter Pence made an insane catch in the eighth inning to preserve it is why it will always have a special place in the hearts of Giants fans.

1. Matt Cain (2012)

A perfect game also counts as a no-hitter and when you are perfect you are going to be at the top of any no-hitter ranking. From Gregor Blanco's catch on the warning track to that heart-stopping pivot step from Joaquin Arias at third base, there are so many indelible moments from this game which may have been a wink from the Even Year Gods that something special was brewing for the Giants in 2012.
