Are San Francisco Giants fans angry about not signing Shohei Ohtani? Especially when they allegedly offered him the same exact contract he eventually signed with the Dodgers, creating an apples-to-apples comparison that must've just come down to Ohtani's preference between the two teams? Yeah, you could say there's some anger there.

Five-time All-Star, four-time MVP votes getter with the Giants Will Clark and his co-host on the Deuces Wild podcast, former player Eric Byrnes, are definitely angry. In their newest episode, they took a few minutes to talk about Ohtani's 10 year, $700 million contract and went on a no-holds-barred, expletive-filled rant on Ohtani, the Dodgers, and the Giants' chances of taking the division next year.

In a short rant that, cleaned up a little (or a lot), basically boils down to "The Dodgers can spend a ton of money, it doesn't matter to us, the Giants just need to get down to business and finally beat them," Clark employs three uses of the f-word, three uses of a word that can also be used to describe a donkey, and two uses of the f-word, basically summing up the thoughts of all Giants fans who would like put Ohtani spurning the team in their rearview mirror.

The Giants managed to respond quickly to being passed over by Ohtani by signing KBO star Jung Hoo Lee to a six year, $113 million contract, smashing original salary predictions. Clearly, the Giants had some things they wanted to prove after losing Ohtani — that they have money and that they're capable of signing big free agents despite enduring an agonizing streak of losing them to other teams for one reason or another.

Lee and the Giants will take on Ohtani and the Dodgers four times over the course of the 2024 season, giving Giants fans plenty of opportunities to try to stick it to them and prove that money doesn't have to be everything. We hear you and we feed off of you, Will Clark!
