Are the SF Giants being overlooked in this week's power rankings?

Final thoughts

It’s ultimately not the biggest deal that two weeks into the 2022 MLB season, MLB’s power rankings have the Giants behind the Yankees, Astros, Blue Jays and Mets (who they share the same or better records than), but it’s another example of how overlooked this team has become.

Every phase of the Giants machine right now is continuing to roll after a stellar but shocking 2021 season, and if the team can find ways to improve over the course of this season, the National League will likely come down to the old rivalry to decide who heads to the 2022 Fall Classic.

So what are your thoughts on MLB’s first power ranking of the new season? Any surprises for you? Do you care where the Giants are ranked? Are they too high? Too low? Can this team truly compete for a World Series in the stacked NL West?
