Eric Cole of FanSided released his top-100 prospect list, and the SF Giants had plenty of representation. This list featured many of the usual suspects, as well as outfield prospect Bo Davidson coming in at No. 80.
FanSided Top 100 list finally gives SF Giants outfield prospect proper credit
Bryce Eldridge came in at No. 13, followed closely by Josuar Gonzalez at No. 26. Davidson, along with Luis Hernández, was a bit lower on the list. Hernández came in at No. 90 and is set to make his pro debut at the beginning of next month.
Similar to Gonzalez, Hernández could quickly climb these rankings. He signed with the Giants in the winter for just under $5 million out of Venezuela. Hernández was viewed as the top prospect in this year's international class, and the fact that the Giants are having him skip the Dominican Summer League is a sign of how advanced they view his bat.
Jhonny Level was a curious omission from the list. He has been included in nearly every top prospect publication. This includes MLB Pipeline, which added him to its list earlier in the season. Level is off to a blistering start at the plate and has only cemented his status as one of the better prospects in baseball.
On the other hand, Bo Davidson continues to get recognition in these top prospect lists. Perhaps, he is not as widely viewed as a top prospect as some of his teammates, but he does offer an intriguing set of tools.
It also bears mentioning that it is very difficult for undrafted free agents to get recognized in these rankings in the first place. A lot goes into a player's evaluation, but draft pedigree or signing status helps a player's visibility, especially early in their pro career.
Davidson has hit his way onto these lists. He posted an .844 OPS with 18 home runs and 70 RBI in 522 plate appearances split across High-A and Double-A last season. The speedy outfielder also notched 19 steals in 25 chances. He offers some of the best power-speed tools in the organization.
The left-handed bat is off to a slower start in 2026, but he already has a multi-homer game under his belt. In addition to his bat, Davidson is growing into a capable center fielder and has shown improvement over the past couple of years. He is a fast runner with a solid arm and profiles as a quality defender in the corners if he does not stick in center field.
