SF Giants fans look forward to the baseball season for many reasons, but near the top of the list may be getting to listen to beloved announcers Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper who repeatedly show why they are the best in the game.
It is less than a week into the season, but the duo have already provided a few moments that remind us all why they are so fun to listen to while calling a baseball game.
When the Giants were in Cincinnati taking on the Reds, Kruk and Kuip were able to spin gold out of a young fan chomping on a waffle fry in the stands.

Beloved SF Giants announcers Kruk and Kuip keep proving they are the best in the game
Kruk saying that the youngster has a "Wisconsin Death Grip" on the fry is hilarious and is a reminder that the former pitcher has a superb turn of phrase for just about every occasion.
Another great moment came in Houston as the two former teammates were reminiscing about their playing days and how they played in Houston at the Astrodome.
With the Giants playing the Astros, Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper talked about Houston's stadium, and the one it replaced.

"It is a good ballpark...so much better than the Astrodome."
"Well, my bathroom was better than the Astrodome." pic.twitter.com/YdSQmiLsNv
Neither of them were fans of the old Astrodome and Kuip came in with a great line saying that his bathroom was better than the Astrodome.
It is also important to remember that both players spent a good amount of time playing at Candlestick Park which was notorious for being a rough place to play. If they say a stadium was no good, they mean it.
These two small moments capture the fun of listening to these two old friends call a baseball game. You know there are going to be some laughs and some great moments along the way no matter how the game is going.
Sure, Krukow might say that a pitcher has a base to play with a few too many times for the taste of some. But listening to a broadcast with another team's announcers is a reminder of how spoiled we are as Giants fans that we get to hear the two best baseball broadcasters on a daily basis.
The two have a friendship that has spanned decades which is why it is so fitting that they are set to be honored by SF Sketchfest this May.
The announcers are like family at this point to so many who have heard them call baseball games for decades. Let's hope we get to hear them call games for many more years to come.
