MLB Network revealed its list of top-100 players right now on Thursday. The SF Giants had some healthy representation on the list with three players making the cut, including Matt Chapman, Willy Adames, and Logan Webb.

Chapman led the way for San Francisco, coming in at No. 38 on the list. He is one spot ahead of three-time AL MVP Mike Trout and is in the same neighborhood as players like Corbin Carroll, Austin Riley, and Trea Turner. That is pretty good company.

The veteran third baseman saw a notable jump in his stock compared to last year. He came in at No. 89 before the 2024 season. Chapman had one of his better seasons, slashing .247/.328/.463 (121 wRC+) with 27 home runs and 78 RBI in 647 plate appearances.

Of course, he is one of the best defensive players in baseball as well and the 2024 campaign was no different. Chapman graded out as one of the best third basemen in baseball regardless of the metric you use and took home his fourth Gold Glove Award.

The eight-year veteran hopes to share the left side of the infield with Willy Adames for years to come. Adames came in just a few spots behind Chapman at No. 41. Oddly enough, he came in one spot ahead of Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa. Remember when he was almost a Giant? Yeah, I think Giants fans are now forever scarred when they see a deal is pending a physical.

Adames is coming off of an excellent season as well. He registered a .251/.331/.462 line (119 wRC+) with 32 home runs and 112 RBI in 688 plate appearances with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Giants rewarded him with a lucrative, long-term deal.

The last Giants player to make the list is Logan Webb and he is not too far behind Chapman or Adames. Webb comes in at No. 50, but you could make the case he should be higher than that.

The veteran hurler has proven to be one of the more durable pitchers over the past few seasons. He led the NL in innings pitched in each of the past two years, making 33 starts per year.

The 28-year-old pitcher earned his first All-Star nod in 2024 as he tallied a 3.47 ERA, 2.95 FIP, 1.23 WHIP, 7.6 K.9, and a 3.44 SO/W rate across 204.2 frames while earning some down-ballot NL Cy Young votes.
