We recently took a look at some SF Giants hitters currently raking down in Triple-A Sacramento. While Bryce Eldridge can be added to that list now, there are also some pitchers who are absolutely dealing for the River Cats.

The Giants are trying to sort through their pitching staff right now, at least when it comes to the bullpen. The starting rotation should remain pretty consistent as long as those five guys remain healthy, but it would not shock anyone if there is a lot of turnover in the bullpen.

The one roster change the Giants have had to make since Opening Day was to place reliever José Buttó, who had a scary procedure done to remove a blood clot and will be out for 2 to 4 months, on the IL while recalling Blade Tidwell.

If there is another injury or if the Giants eventually grow tired of Ryan Borucki, then one of these three arms could be the next man up.

3 pitchers in Triple-A SF Giants may have to promote soon

Carson Seymour

Back in spring training, Carson Seymour made a very good impression. He had a 2.92 ERA in 12 and 1/3 innings pitched. He has carried over that positive momentum into the Triple-A season as he has yet to allow a run in three starts and 10 and 2/3 innings pitched.

The hard-throwing right-hander has electric stuff when he is on, so if the Giants needed a guy to make a spot start or if a reliever got injured and they needed a guy who can go multiple innings, Seymour seems like the guy.

Juan Sanchez

Left-handed reliever Juan Sanchez has been a name to watch for the Giants for some time. Back in 2024 there was some speculation in spring training that he could make the team, but it was not quite his time.

He had another really solid showing in Arizona this year, not allowing a single run in 6 and 1/3 innings of work while allowing two hits, five walks, and striking out right. He's followed that up by allowing no runs in three innings of work while striking out five batters and walking four in Triple-A.

The Giants already have three lefties in the bullpen which already feels like one too many, but if San Francisco moves on from Borucki then maybe Sanchez could be the guy to replace him especially if he cuts down on the walks.

Gregory Santos

There was a lot of noise around Gregory Santos in camp as he made sense as an obvious candidate to make the team given his impressive velocity. He didn't pitch quite well enough to earn a roster spot, but he was still impressive early on.

So far in Sacramento, he has a 1.29 ERA in seven innings. He's struck out three and walked three so far.

It would not be a shock if we see any of these pitchers at some point this season. Seymour is the most likely candidate just because he is on the 40-man roster already so a corresponding move would not have to be made, but if the Giants get desperate for answers in the bullpen, do not be shocked if they turn to Sanchez or Santos at some point as well.
