As the reports are swirling that the San Francisco Giants have met with Bryce Harper for a second time in Las Vegas, Giants players are weighing in again, led by one of the team’s best pitchers last season.
Derek Holland, who to this point is the San Francisco Giants largest free agent signing of 2019, jumped on Twitter to express his interest in the Harper free agent circus.
NBC Sports tweeted out that the Giants had met with Harper again and Holland added a not safe for work hashtag to his timeline.
Afterwards, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reported that the Giants clubhouse had a “legitimate shot” at landing Harper this weekend.
Holland replied to the tweet with a hilarious GIF of Dr. Evil that said welcome with a longing and desire that many Giants fans can relate to right now.

Some Giants fans are sick of this story and have gone to social media and shared their opinions on how frustrating this drawn out process has been.
At fan fest, many Giants players were asked about Harper and everyone interviewed about Bryce said they would love to have him on the Giants.
Now, Holland is doubling down and there are still many in San Francisco with him.
Seems like ownership has doubled down as well, reportedly offering a ten year deal.
The Giants have had back to back losing seasons after a 2016 playoff appearance and three World Series championships in five seasons between 2010 and 2014.
With all that success, Giants ownership has become accustomed to winning and that has shown in past free agent periods when the team has gone after big names. Harper is about as big a name as it gets. Bigger than practically anyone they’ve gone after since Barry Bonds.
One thing is certain: when Bryce Harper picks his next team, many in the baseball world will be relieved it’s over.
Holland and other Giants might also be a little excited if he picks them.
