The Arizona Complex League (ACL) concluded earlier this week. Not surprisingly, this led to a wave of promotions to San Jose, including top SF Giants middle infield prospect Jhonny Level, per the team's transaction log.

Keyner Martinez, Argenis Cayama, Melvin Pineda, and Fernando Vasquez are joining Level in San Jose. Martinez and Cayama were among the top pitchers in the ACL, whereas Level was one of the best position players.

The ACL Giants were the best team in the league, with a 42-18 record during the regular season. However, the lost in the championship series to the ACL Angels.

Nevertheless, it was a very successful campaign for one of the Giants' lower affiliates. There is usually a debate that goes back and forth about whether win-loss records in the minors even matter. I like to look at it as a sign of organizational health.

For the Giants, some of their best affiliates are in the lower levels, which is a sign that some talent should be coming up through the organization in the next couple of years.

Jhonny Level was a force in the lineup for a team that led the league with an .801 team OPS while averaging 6.27 runs per game. He hit .288/.375/.493 (119 wRC+) with nine home runs, 38 RBI, and 50 runs in 261 plate appearances. The defense is still rough, as he made 13 errors with a .929 fielding percentage at shortstop. Level is among the Giants' top prospects at the moment.

Keyner Martinez and Argenis Cayama anchored a pitching staff that comfortably led the ACL with a 3.48 ERA. Martinez posted a 1.90 ERA with 67 strikeouts and 10 walks across 47.1 frames, whereas Cayama tallied a 2.25 ERA with 55 strikeouts and 18 walks in 48 frames. Both pitchers have quickly climbed the Giants' top prospect rankings.

Melvin Pineda had a 1.93 ERA with 25 strikeouts and six walks in 14 innings in nine appearances.
Fernando Vasquez pitched to a 2.31 ERA in 11.2 innings. San Jose has already put together a strong season, and there are a few extra names to follow as the season winds down.
