SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Colorado Rockies, February 24 Game 1
The Giants had a need for starting pitching this spring. They had been lightly connected to Max Fried and strongly connected to Corbin Burnes. In the end, they land a pitcher who has accomplished more on a baseball field than just about any pitcher in baseball history.
The coaching staff will be eager to see how Verlander performs. The veteran hurler was a good starting pitcher as recently as 2023 but struggled to a 5.48 ERA in 17 starts while battling shoulder and neck discomfort last year. The results do not matter in spring training but the Giants are hoping that Verlander starts his spring off on the right foot.
Who is pitching for the SF Giants?

A handful of rostered pitchers will follow including Ryan Walker, Carson Ragsdale, Randy Rodríguez, and Spencer Bivens.
