Saturday was Barry Bonds bobblehead day at Oracle Park as the SF Giants took on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bonds paid a visit to Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper in the broadcast booth and gave Kuiper a fitting gift.

Bonds gave Kuip the bobblehead giveaway they gave out to fans which is the most Barry Bonds gift ever. It is also not the only gift Kuip has received in the booth this season. Barry threw out the first pitch before the game as well.

Barry Bonds gives Duane Kuiper a bobblehead of himself

Bonds has always thought highly of himself, so the gift is fitting even if it was surely done a little in jest. Both Kruk and Kuip have talked about Bonds over the years and say that he is never shy to remind them, "I made you guys," based on the fact that they were the team's announcers when Bonds was breaking records and putting together his legendary career.

Bonds and Kuiper recently sat down and discussed some of the milestone homers from his career. It is 25 minutes long but well worth the watch to see Bonds reminisce about some of the most memorable moments in his career.

Bonds' greatness cannot be denied and there are members of the Hall of Fame who have said he is the greatest they have ever seen. With all of the moon shots he hit and records he broke in his career, it is no wonder his peers viewed him that way.

Bonds has also stayed around the team which has been a welcome sight. This season he has stepped in to try and help struggling players like LaMonte Wade Jr. and Tyler Fitzgerald. Even though Wade was traded and Fitzgerald was demoted, there are certainly some who would love to see Bonds become a permanent hitting coach for the team.

While Bonds likes to rib Kruk and Kuip, it is clear he has a lot of love for both guys. He was sweet to them in the broadcast booth and after he left Kruk talked about how he missed talking baseball with Bonds on long cross-country flights back when Bonds was a player.

Bonds has a bad reputation with the media, but it seems Kruk and Kuip got to see the best of Barry over the years. Let's hope Bonds keeps coming to Oracle Park, the house that he built in many ways, and stays around the team for a long time.
