The SF Giants split the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend. The New York Mets are now in town for a three-game series and they are slated to face off against Keaton Winn on Monday.

Winn had one of his better games as a major leaguer in his last start. He yielded just one earned run on four hits, one walk, and four strikeouts against the Miami Marlins while notching his first win of the season.

The righty pitcher is quietly off to a nice start in 2024. He has recorded a 4.09 ERA, 4.07 FIP, 1.09 WHIP, 7.0 K/9, and a 2.13 SO/W ratio through four starts. This includes a 56.7 percent ground ball rate, which is seventh in baseball among pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched. The Giants would like him to record a couple more strikeouts each time out, but he has done a nice job of keeping the ball on the ground.

Mike Yastrzemski might be starting to warm up after recording a hit in each of his last three games. This includes his first home run of the season on Sunday. His overall numbers are rough as he has struggled to a .530 OPS in 51 plate appearances this season, but the Giants will remain patient. Yastrzemski is out of Monday's lineup. Austin Slater is taking his place in right field and batting leadoff.

The Giants will face off against José Quintana. Quintana pitched briefly with the Giants at the end of the 2021 season. On the year, he has a 3.05 ERA in four starts, but he has pitched with plenty of traffic on the bases.
