Through the first five series of the year, the Giants have won one, split one, and lost three. Though, they hope to have better luck against the 3-13 Marlins.

The lineup has struggled to find its groove in the early going. Some nights, they look like a formidable offense. Other nights, they have to scratch and claw just to score one run. The Giants have good hitters on the roster and they hope that the tide turns sooner rather than later.

Harrison is beginning his first full season in a Giants uniform. Through three starts, he has tallied a 4.76 ERA, 5.01 FIP, 1.17 WHIP, 9.0 K/9, and a 5.67 SO/.W ratio. The Giants have to be encouraged with how he has limited free passes, but he has also been a bit too prone to the long ball. That could just be part of his development as he continues to show improvement in his control. Nevertheless, he has had no issues in getting major league hitters to swing and miss.

The lefty pitcher has been relying heavily on his four-seam fastball, using it 67.2 percent of the time while mixing in a changeup and a slider. The fastball has been tough to hit as opposing hitters have registered a .174 batting average against it in 2024.

For the Marlins, Edward Cabrera will take the mound. He will be making his first start of the year. In 2023, he posted a 4.24 ERA in 22 outings.
