SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Houston Astros, June 12

No one has thrown more innings than Webb (494.1 innings) since the start of 2022. It is part of what makes him so valuable. He is in the midst of another solid season that should land him on the NL All-Star team. Through 14 starts, he has posted a 2.92 ERA, 2.67 FIP, 1.20 WHIP, 7.6 K/9, and a 3.65 SO/W ratio.

The Astros have playoff aspirations but are off to a slow start with a 31-37 overall record. They have sustained a number of injuries, especially to the starting rotation.

Who it hot?

Brett Wisely continues to put together a solid 2024 campaign. He has three hits, including a home run, in nine at-bats through the first two games of the series. On the year, he has a .768 OPS with two home runs in 59 plate appearances while being able to handle multiple positions.

Who are the SF Giants facing?

Stylistically, Framber Valdez is not too different from Webb. He does not generate a ton of strikeouts, limits free bases, and keeps the ball on the ground. Both Valdez and Webb will keep their defense busy today. Valdez has a 3.53 ERA in 10 outings this season.
