SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Colorado Rockies, May 8
The SF Giants hope they can begin to turn the season around against the Colorado Rockies. They took the first game of the series thanks to a strong outing from Kyle Harrison and will now turn to Jordan Hicks. Hicks is off to a solid start with the club and is tabbed for Wednesday's start at Coors Field.
SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Colorado Rockies, May 8
Hicks has quietly been one of the better pitchers in baseball. There were questions about how his control would hold up in the rotation, and he has answered that question to some degree. That said, he is coming off of a start in which he allowed four walks in four innings against a tough Philadelphia Phillies lineup.
Overall, the righty pitcher has a 1.89 ERA, 3.25 FIP, 1.02 WHIP, 7.1 K/9, and a 2.14 SO/W ratio through seven starts. The strikeout rate is down, but he has offset this with an excellent 58.7 percent ground ball rate.
Who it hot?
Jung Hoo Lee has notched a hit in five straight games and six of the last seven games. This includes a three-hit night in Tuesday's victory. The Giants offense has gone cold, but he continues to pile up the hit totals.
Who are the SF Giants facing?
The Giants are facing off against Peter Lambert. He has a 5.66 ERA in nine appearances this season. Lambert has struggled to the tune of a 6.95 ERA in five appearances against the Giants during his career.
