After dropping a three-game series against the Miami Marlins over the weekend, the SF Giants look to get back on track against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They hope that 23-year-old hurler Kyle Harrison can finish the year on a high note.

Unfortunately, the strength of schedule only gets harder in September as many of the Giants' opponents will be vying for a playoff spot. With a 68-70 record, it will take a strong finish to the season for the team to end the year with a winning record.

There is a good chance that Harrison is penciled into next year's rotation but the Giants would feel much more confident about that with a strong finish for the young lefty. Overall, he has posted a 4.22 ERA in 21 starts for San Francisco. This includes a rough outing against the Milwaukee Brewers in his last time out where he yielded five earned runs in 4.2 frames.

Who is hot?

Tyler Fitzgerald has recorded a hit in four of the last five games. The league is beginning to adjust to him, pitching him up on the zone and away. Over the past five games, he has tallied six hits in 18 at-bats.

Who are the SF Giants facing?

The Giants are facing off against Ryne Nelson. Nelson has posted a 4.22 ERA in 25 appearances for the Diamondbacks this season. He has strikeout and walk rates, but he is hittable. The right-handed pitcher has held the Giants to a 2.89 ERA in five starts in his career.
