Seriously, who are these guys?! The SF Giants have now rallied three straight series wins against some good teams on the road. Mason Black will take the mound on Wednesday to keep the momentum going.
SF Giants probable pitchers & starting lineups vs. Arizona Diamondbacks, September 25
It is quite frustrating that the Giants saved their best baseball after they were eliminated from playoff contention. This iteration of Giants baseball actually looks pretty good and much different from what we saw for much of the year. These guys are hitting home runs left and right.
Black will be making his final start of the year. He recorded his first career win in his last outing and looks to make it two in a row. The overall number are not all that strong as he has posted a 5.88 ERA in eight outings with San Francisco. However, he has looked better in the final month of the year. In his last start, he completed 5.2 scoreless innings.
Who is hot?
Heliot Ramos' bat has gone cold in the second half of the year but he is putting together a solid couple of weeks to finish the season. The 2024 All-Star recorded three legs of the cycle in a game against the Royals over the weekend. He tallied four more hits, including a home run, in Tuesday's convincing win against the Diamondbacks.
Who are the SF Giants facing?
The Giants are facing off against veteran hurler Zac Gallen. Gallen is having another solid year with a 3.74 ERA in 27 starts. He has registered a 4.12 ERA in 15 career starts against San Francisco.
