The Giants nearly squeaked away with a chance at winning the game on Monday night. Jorge Soler hit a ground ball that would have scored Matt Chapman from third base. Soler was originally called safe, but replay showed that he was out. The Giants got walked off later only a few minutes later with Randy Rodríguez on the mound.

Harrison has hit a rough patch in 2024. That is to be expected. After all, he is in his age-22 season. On the year, he has a 4.15 ERA through 12 starts. The young lefty has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last two outings, including a game against the Philadelphia Phillies where he yielded four runs on 12 hits in five innings of work.

It is a small sample, but Brett Wisely continues to hit. He has a .816 OPS in 41 plate appearances and continues to find his way into the lineup. The left-handed bat has tallied a hit in four of the last five games.
