Lansville was a 14th-round pick by San Francisco out of San Jacinto College just last season. He pitched briefly for San Jose in his draft year, allowing four earned runs with 11 strikeouts and three walks in seven frames.

The 21-year-old pitcher returned to the California League this year and has put up better results. In 20 appearances, including 14 starts, he has tallied a 4.36 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 8.4 K/9, and a 3.14 SO/W rate across 74.1 innings.

Lansville has been better lately, registering a 1.20 ERA in his last three outings. This includes one start last week where he yielded one earned run on six strikeouts and one walk in six innings of work against the Fresno Grizzlies. Seeing the longtime Giants' Triple-A affiliate in the California League is still an odd look after the Grizzlies spent so many years in the Pacific Coast League.

The right-handed pitcher has aided a Giants roster that has been the best in the league. Overall, San Jose leads the California League with a 74-57 overall record while securing a postseason spot. The playoffs are set to begin this week for San Jose.

On the other hand, Perdomo began the year in San Jose's rotation along with Lansville. However, he earned a promotion to Eugene after recording a 1.26 ERA with 50 strikeouts against 11 walks in 43 innings.

The numbers have not been quite as strong in the Northwest League but the young lefty pitcher has been a solid contributor for the Emeralds. He has a 4.00 ERA with 55 strikeouts and 24 walks in 54 innings with Eugene. The control has taken a step back as he faces off against more advanced hitters.

That said, Perdomo has been much better lately as he has yielded just three earned runs in 21 innings over his last five outings. This includes an excellent start against the Vancouver Canadians where he collected five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.
