The San Francisco Giants have won four straight games including two straight against the St. Louis Cardinals, and can now lock up the series win tonight when the two teams face-off in the third game of a four-game set.
Anthony DeSclafani (2.63 ERA) will take the mound for the Giants and he'll face-off against Steven Matz (6.55 ERA) of the Cardinals.
The Giants have outscored the Cardinals by a combined total of 9-4 through the first two games this series. Will they add to that tonight?
It's time to take a look at the betting odds and then I'll give you my best bet for the game.
Cardinals vs. Giants odds, run line, and total
Cardinals vs. Giants prediction and pick
There is no world that exists where I'd be betting on the St. Louis Cardinals as a pick'em with Steven Matz on the mound. He has been horrendous so far this season, sporting an ERA of 6.55 through his first four starts. He has yet to have a start this season where has hasn't given up at least two earned runs.
Meanwhile, Anthony DeSclafani has a strong 2.63 ERA through his four starts, while giving up a WHIP of just 0.875. It also helps that the Cardinals' OPS drops from .938 against lefties down to .729 against righties.
I'll take the Giants to take the 3-0 series lead tonight.
