Baseball-Reference projects the SF Giants hitters to regress in 2022

Outfield

Steven Duggar: 9 HR, 40 RBI

Joc Pederson: 22 HR, 60 RBI -- 478 PA, 423 AB.

Austin Slater: 13 HR, 39 RBI

LaMonte Wade Jr. (will begin season on IL with knee injury): 15 HR, 50 RBI

Darin Ruf: 16 HR, 50 RBI

Mike Yastrzemski: 23 HR, 69 RBI

A couple of notes. First, Ruf is projected to tie his career-high in home runs, while Slater is projected to come awfully close to his (12). Yastrzemski and Pederson are expected to carry the load offensively in the outfield, while Wade's numbers might be slightly lower depending on when he comes back from his left knee discomfort.

It will be fun to look back at these once the season concludes and see how accurate Baseball-Reference was. Who will be the one that exceeds expectations? Who will fall short of living up to them? Those are the two of the many questions that will be answered over the next six months.
