3 early-season SF Giants overreactions that we must give some time

3. Farhan Zaidi needs to go

This one is maybe the most confusing to me. Giants fans were mad at the front office for not addressing the key needs.

Over the offseason and into Spring Training, the team did exactly this. So in my mind, the heat should be off of the front office.

After all, the Giants spent the second-most amount of money this winter trailing only the Los Angeles Dodgers. If those players signed don’t perform, that isn’t on the front office. They can only go out and get good players.

Not to mention, the front office did the right thing in changing the manager. All the ingredients are there. Maybe instead of rushing to a judgment, fans should give this cake some time to bake and see what happens.

Zaidi should be safe for now given that he recently agreed to an extension.  Let’s not forget that he was also executive of the year in 2021, so he knows how to build a team. It’s also nice that he has a previous relationship with Melvin from their years in Oakland.

The best things come to those who wait, so let’s wait this one out fans. Everything is going to fine.
