SF Giants prospects in the lower minors continue to excel in 2025. Ricardo Estrada and Jacob Bresnahan were recognized as the Pitcher of the Month for June in the Arizona Complex League (ACL) and California League, respectively.

The ACL season began in May, with Argenis Camaya taking home the honors for that month. The Giants have swept it on the pitching side in that league so far in 2025. On the other hand, Bresnahan was already recognized as the Pitcher of the Week earlier in June, but this highlights what a strong month he had on the mound.

Estrada had a very strong season for the ACL Giants. Overall, he has tallied a 1.53 ERA, 3.36 FIP, 0.79 WHIP, 10.58 K/9, and a 5.79 SO/W rate in 35.1 frames in the ACL. Estrada earned a promotion to San Jose in the final week of June, and has made two appearances with his new club.

The 23-year-old pitcher was even better in June, posting a 0.92 ERA with 25 strikeouts and only two walks in 19.2 innings for the ACL Giants. The ACL Giants have been the best team in the league with a 31-14 record due in large part to strong performances from the pitching staff.

On the other hand, Bresnahan continues to put together an excellent 2025 season, and he has only gotten better as the season progressed. The Giants acquired him in a trade that sent Alex Cobb to the Cleveland Guardians last season. His first stint with San Jose did not go as planned, as he tallied a 10.98 ERA across 19.1 innings.

However, the Giants knew that Bresnahan was a young, projectable arm and that there would be an adjustment period to the California League competition. On the year, Bresnahan has a 3.18 ERA in 13 starts with San Jose.

The 20-year-old pitcher was even better in June, as he recorded a 0.95 ERA with 25 strikeouts and eight walks in 19 innings. Incredibly, California League hitters slashed .129/.229/.194 against him during that stretch. They struggled to get anything going with Bresnahan on the mound.
