Bo Davidson and Dakota Jordan have each strung together strong performances lately and were recognized for it. Davidson was recognized as the Eastern League Player of the Month for June, whereas Jordan was picked as the Northwest League Player of the Week.

Davidson got off to a slow start with the Richmond Flying Squirrels. This could have been due in part to a stint on the injured list earlier in the year for an undisclosed injury. Through the first two months of the year, he put up a .707 OPS with six home runs and 26 RBI in 158 plate appearances. That is a respectable mark in the Eastern League but not the type of production expected from someone who is considered one of the top outfield prospects in baseball.

The left-handed bat found another gear in June. He slashed .309/.391/.681 (167 wRC+) with 11 home runs, 23 RBI, and 21 runs in 110 plate appearances. Davidson also swiped seven bags in eight chances.

When the season began, Davidson shared the outfield with Scott Bandura and Jonah Cox. Bandura and Cox have since been promoted. If Davidson continues to perform at this pace, he will not be far behind. Perhaps, the Giants are just waiting for an opening on the Sacramento River Cats' roster to move him up. Davidson has a relatively healthy sample of 474 career plate appearances at Double-A, so he already has a lot of experience at that level.

Pair of SF Giants outfield prospects are pushing for a promotion with recent play

Speaking of outfield prospects, Dakota Jordan has been on a tear lately. The Eugene Emeralds faced off against the Vancouver Canadians. They won four out of six games, and Jordan was a big part of that.

The right-handed bat posted a 1.462 OPS with four home runs, 11 RBI, and eight runs in 26 plate appearances. This includes a two-homer effort in an 8-2 win over the Canadians on July 4.

Overall, Jordan is hitting .285/.341/.505 (122 wRC+) with 15 home runs, 61 RBI, and 46 runs in 337 plate appearances. This includes an 8.0 percent walk rate, 28.2 percent strikeout rate, and .220 ISO. He has also swiped 15 bases in 17 chances this year.

Similar to Davidson, Jordan is a toolsy outfielder with the ability to hit for power, run, and play quality defense in the outfield. Jordan was not an aggressive baserunner during his time at Mississippi State University, but he has turned into an efficient base stealer as a pro.

The Giants will want to see Jordan bring down his strikeout rate, and that was a concern coming out of the draft in 2024. That said, he has some of the best raw power in the organization, and it translates well to the games.
