On Saturday, New SF Giants star slugger Rafael Devers led the club to a 3-2 victory after blasting a two-run shot against the Boston Red Sox. The veteran bat quickly upended one narrative from his time with Boston by doing a postgame interview.

There have been a lot of rumors and narratives that have been thrown against the wall regarding Devers' exit from the Red Sox. One narrative was that Devers declined to do postgame interviews on multiple occasions according to Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe.

Abraham noted that Jarren Duran did a postgame for Boston on the same night that Devers hit a walk-off home run. That was on May 17, and the Red Sox staged a late rally to secure the win. Devers had three hits in that game, including the biggest hit of the night.

As Abraham mentions, this small act frustrated many within Boston's front office and ownership. While it was a small act, it was one of many acts on both sides that highlighted a deteriorating relationship that inevitably became irreparable.

That is all in the rearview mirror now. Devers does not look like an outspoken person, and that is totally fine. The Red Sox wanted him to be someone he was not in more ways than one, and that strained the relationship.

The 28-year-old slugger has reiterated that he appreciated his time in Boston, but does not want to discuss his exit from the organization. Rather, he wants to focus on the team he is with now.

Not surprisingly, Devers has brought a spark to the Giants' lineup. I will note that I did not follow the end of Devers' time with Boston all that closely, besides the reports that have since come out, but he looks to be genuinely excited to be with San Francisco. The fan base is exuberant to have him for years to come, and the organization has been eager to add a player of his caliber for decades.

On Saturday, Devers shared during the postgame interview on NBC Sports Bay Area that he is confident in his ability to hit for power at Oracle Park. During the interview, new teammate Willy Adames showered him with a Gatorade bath. It looks like he is gelling with his new teammates just fine.
