Even though the SF Giants are not in the World Series, Giants fans must surely be delighting in the fact that the country as a whole is now becoming familiar with Los Angeles Dodgers fans leaving games early.

In both Game 4 and Game 5, there were reports of fans leaving early or large swaths of empty seats at the games as the Dodgers lost both contests to go down 3-2 in the series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

SF Giants fans should delight in Dodgers fans showing their true colors during World Series

In Game 4, USA Today reporter Bob Nightengale noted that there was a mass exodus of Dodgers fans late in the game with LA down:

Then, the following night, there were pictures on social media showing tons of empty seats during Game 5 when former Giants Blake Snell had another rough outing and blamed bad luck rather than taking full accountability.

One might think it had something to do with the 18-inning thriller in Game 3, but Dodgers fans leaving games early has been going on for a very long time.

Giants fans are more than familiar with this phenomenon. It is well known in the Bay Area that some Dodgers fans prefer to roll in late and some like to take off around the 7th inning or so so they can beat the traffic or for some other excuse.

Leaving early is as much of a Dodgers fan tradition as doing the wave or bringing a beachball to the park. It is nice that the whole country is now getting to see what Giants fans have known for a long time about Dodgers fans.

While that has been satisfying, it would be even more satisfying if the Blue Jays are able to defeat the Dodgers in Game 6 in Toronto. They have LA on the ropes and defeating them would show that the Death Star can be destroyed and the Dodgers are not completely unstoppable even with their stacked roster.

Former Giant Kevin Gausman will get the ball in Friday night's contest on Halloween and he has a chance to deliver a gem and give Dodgers fans a very mighty fright indeed.

Game 6 and a potential Game 7 will be played in Toronto, and something tells me there will not be very many empty seats or fans leaving early as Blue Jays fans are eager to see the team try to win its first World Series since 1993.
