This has to stop.

The SF Giants lost another brutal game to the Arizona Diamondbacks last night. During the game, there was an incident where a fan interfered with a ball in the field of play which may have cost the Giants. Turns out this fan has done it before.

A video posted on social media by Jomboy Media shows that this is the fourth time that this specific fan has been involved in some sort of umpire review for fan interference.

SF Giants get burnt again by interfering Diamondbacks fan

This is not even the first time this fan has hurt the Giants. He did the same thing in 2022 with a ball hit by Joey Bart that appeared to be going out but the fan caught it and it was ruled a double. That is exactly what happened last night with Christian Koss as he smashed a ball to left field and the fan literally dove across the top of the fence to catch it and it was ruled a double after review.

It bears mentioning that every time this fan has interfered, the ultimate call has ended up benefiting the Diamondbacks. It is ridiculous that he is even allowed in MLB ballparks anymore after this sort of repeated behavior.

This could not have come at a worse time for the Giants as their offense is struggling in every way imaginable despite adding slugger Rafael Devers. It seems like they have not caught a break in a while so in a way it is fitting that something like this would happen to further enrage the fanbase.

To make matters even worse, Koss was injured on the play as he started limping while running out of the box. Koss has been the best hitter for the Giants as of late which is a sentence that one even shudders to write because of what it says about the current state of the team.

Even though the team is struggling, the Giants announced that they would be exercising the option on manager Bob Melvin's contract for 2026 which is sure to go over well with a frustrated fanbase that understandably wants to place blame somewhere.

If one wants to look at all of this positiviely, maybe the Giants are getting all of their bad baseball and bad luck out of the way right now. They have a chance to bounce back against the Diamondbacks tonight. Let's just hope any potential home runs to left field clear the wall with plenty of room to spare
