SF Giants Podcast Ep. 21: Opening Day roster, future starting rotation, more
Sound the Foghorn is FanSided’s flagship SF Giants podcast hosted by Around the Foghorn co-site expert Marc Delucchi. As we shift to the regular season, the podcast will begin releasing two episodes a week, one on Wednesday and one on Sunday. One episode will feature a guest from around baseball to talk about Major League Baseball’s biggest news. Then, on the other episode, Marc will go solo and look deeper into the latest happenings around the Giants on the other episode.
This week, Marc talks about the team’s Opening Day roster, where it’s strongest, weakest, and what it could mean about the president of baseball operations, Farhan Zaidi’s, view of the organization. He also explains why he’s become far more optimistic about the Giants’ starting rotation and gives a sneak preview into a piece that will be released later this week. Finally, he gets into the team’s strange dearth of strong defenders up-the-middle and what it might mean about the front-office’s priorities.
