SF Giants Mauricio Dubón got married to Nancy Herrera in the past week.

Since time is so hard to come by for most professional baseball players during their season, many delay or plan around the offseason for big personal or social events. In the latest news from SF Giants players off the field this offseason, utilityman Mauricio Dubón officially got married to Nancy Herrera (now Nancy Herrera de Dubón on her Instagram) a few days ago.

Dubón has had quite a packed 2020. In his first full season in the Major Leagues, Dubón hit .274/.337/.389 while playing second base, shortstop, and centerfield. After spending his entire professional career as an infielder, he adjusted incredibly well to the outfield, finishing the season as the team’s everyday centerfielder. He also showed some great potential against lefthanded pitchers, hitting .341/.408/.477 against southpaws.

Since the season ended, Dubón has done more than just plan a wedding. He has also been organizing Hurricane relief for his native country of Honduras, which has been decimated by storms in the past month.
