It has certainly been a weird offseason in baseball, but the time has finally come for San Francisco Giants pitchers and catchers to report to spring training.
Those three glorious words are enough to warm up any baseball fan during a cold winter. Pitchers and catchers reporting are what we long for all offseason.
For Giants fans, we’ve been waiting to hear those words since the middle of last season.
Hope returns to just about every fan base; although there are a lot of complaints about teams tanking. Still, fans of every team love to see their guys back on the field. And for those who know they aren’t in contention in 2018, this is the time to see the future of your club.

But for the San Francisco Giants, we certainly hope to be in the mix in 2018. Every move that was made by the Giants front office this offseason was to win now. And we hope there are still a few more moves to come.
In just a few days we’ll get to see some of those new acquisitions in Giants gear for the first time. We’ll also welcome back some former players who will be looking to have bounce-back years.
It’s that time of year were everyone is in the best shape of their life. For once I want someone to say, “I’ve been in better shape before.” That would make my life complete.
But it’s a fun time of the year for fans and players alike. Everyone is 0-0 in the standings, and everyone is excited about the upcoming season.
I can’t wait to see all of the pictures from players reporting tomorrow, even though now-a-days players report long before the actual reporting date.
