The San Francisco Giants have made a couple of roster moves, yet again.

The San Francisco Giants have purchased the contract of Michael Morse, and recalled Kelby Tomlinson to the roster. Both moves were quite anticipated considering current circumstances.

Brandon Crawford will go on the three day bereavement list, for the death in his family (sister in-law). Denard Span also went on the D.L.

Because of Span’s DL stint is only a 10-day stint, they moved Jarrett Parker to the 60 Day DL to make room on the 40 man roster. Andrew Baggarly tweeted out that Crawford could add another seven days onto his time out if his groin injury he picked up in last nights game, isn’t better by the time he comes back.

For Giants fans, fond memories of the fun-loving, goofy giant man galloping around the bases at AT&T Park are probably filling their minds at the thought of him. As A-Ha begins to blare around the ballpark, let the fond memories flow.

This memory will forever be my favorite of Michael Morse, and so far one of my top ten Giants memories.

Anyways, Morse will provide more to this team in terms of locker room presence then he will on the field. That’s honestly a good thing. In an interview with Matt Kawahara of the Sacramento Bee, Morse said,

"“I think besides pressing and trying to do too much, you can tell they’re not really having fun. That’s something in 2014 we really did; we had fun. If there’s anything I can do to get back, that’s one thing I want to kind of stress, is let’s relax and have some fun.”"

Morse is not in the starting lineup today, but is available off the bench.
