Triple-A: The Sacramento River Cats again played on the road in Salt Lake and lost to the Bees 6-4. Clayton Blackburn started for the River Cats and went five innings, giving up five runs (two earned), with a walk and five strikeouts. He also had two throwing errors in the field. The team had four players with two hits apiece; Grant Green, Ramiro Pena, Hak-Ju Lee, and Mac Williamson who also homered and drove in two. Derek Law and Mike Broadway both threw a scoreless inning with Broadway striking out two.

Double-A: For the second night in a row, the Richmond Flying Squirrels lost to the Hartford Yard Goats, this time 8-3. SS Christian Arroyo went 4-4 with a run scored and walked in his other plate appearance. 1B Ricky Oropesa and 3B Ryder Jones both went 2-5, and 2B Rando Moreno went 2-4 with a run scored. On the hill, Adalberto Mejia struck out seven in five innings. He allowed a run on two hits, including a solo home run by CF David Dahl.

High-A: Sam Coonrod started and went four innings, giving up two earned runs (four total), on six hits. He struck out seven, and only walked one. DH Jose Vizcaino Jr hit a solo shot in the second. The score was 4-1 going into the fifth, and then came a rain delay. The game will resume on 4/10.

Low-A: Phil Bickford had an amazing start to his game, striking out two of three in the first inning. After striking out the side in the second, Bickford two of three in the third, and then another one to end the fourth. The fifth started with two K’s and then he hit a batter on a 3-2 pitch. And the bottom fell out in the inning. After the HBP, there was a walk and a two-run double. After Bickford departed, there were two more walks, and then an infield single that cleared the bases (with help from a throwing error.) On offense, 1B Dillon Dobson hit a solo homer in the first.
