The San Francisco Giants beat the Kansas City Royals this afternoon, 5-0. You can read the game recap here. A lot going on today, so I’m going to throw it all together here to get you up-to-date on a few extra game notes, and some non-game notes happening today.
First up, Marco Scutaro. I don’t know about you, but I’m not feeling real good about the Scutaro situation right now.
Bochy said if Scutaro not playing or close to playing at end of next week, #sfgiants might need another Opening Day plan at 2B.

Instant replay games are coming next week. Full expect Bruce Bochy to be throwing out flags, whether he’s allowed to or not.
#sfgiants first instant replay game next Thursday vs. Rangers at Surprise.

Bochy said he'll get 5 dry runs with instant replay, including 3 Bay Bridge exhibitions. First one will be Thurs. night vs. TEX at Surprise.

Bochy kidded he'll throw out red flag to challenge. "They tell me we're not doing it that way, but I'm doing it that way." #sfgiants #nfl

Speaking of the Bochy family, Brett Bochy had to make dad proud today.
Li'l Boch gets a 1-2-3 fourth inning. "That's my boy," I thought I heard.

Tim Lincecum had a solid outing today. Has he put his past struggles behind him? He admitted to Alex Pavlovic that “things were coming easier.”

What is this new efficient Lincecum? Three shutout innings on 35 pitches, 26 or strikes.#SFGiants rotation now at 1 ER in 23 IP this spring.

And while we’re talking about pitching, I cannot wait until Derek Law makes it to San Francisco. I’ll be patient, but I’m ready.
Radar guns here had @DerekLaw24 sitting at 94 mph in a clean inning, he struck out two.

Mark Minicozzi had another home run today and keeps insisting on people giving people something to talk about. He’s got Bochy’s attention.
Bochy on Minicozzi: "He's certainly making a lot of noise here early." Said Law looked "really good, really sharp." #SFGiants

Hunter Pence also ripped one out of the park today. Best tweet about that home run is below.
RIP baseball that was just murdered by Hunter Pence, i hope someone's sending flowers
