Not much news to report for the Giants today at the close of the first day of the Winter Meetings in Orlando, Florida. No trades were made but we did hear a few updates on our Giants.
According to an article by Andrew Baggarly:
- Buster Posey wants to catch more this season and will focus on lower body strength in the off-season
- Dave Groeschner will take a break from the Winter Meetings tomorrow to visit Marco Scutaro and check on his mallet finger
- Tim Lincecum is working out five days a week
- Tim Hudson will start throwing off a mound this week and running in January
- Pablo Sandoval is now under 250 pounds
- Jeremy Affeldt is 100% after having groin surgery
Here are the other Twitter updates from the Giants’ beat writers.
