Player of the Day: Augusta GreenJackets LHP Joe Kurrasch set a season-high with 12 strikeouts in a brilliant 7 inning, 2 hit performance Sunday.  Since being called up to Augusta from Salem-Keizer, Kurrasch has gone 5-0 with a 1.88 ERA, 31 K, and 7 BB in 24 IP.

Fresno Grizzlies – AAA Pacific Coast League

Highlights/News: (W 4-1) Las Vegas couldn’t solve LHP Eric Surkamp, as he went 8 innings and gave up just 4 hits and 1 run, and Fresno avoided the 5 game sweep.  In each of his last 6 starts, Surkamp has gone 7 innings or more and has given up no more than 2 ER in any of those starts.

Highlights/News: (W 3-0) #11 prospect LHP Edwin Escobar blanked Altoona over 6.1 innings and right fielder Jarrett Parker knocked his franchise-record-setting 17th HR of the season as the Flying Squirrels bounced back for a victory — after getting swept in a doubleheader the night before.

San Jose Giants – High A California League

Highlights/News: (W 4-2) Mac Williamson homered again for San Jose and the Giants scored 4 runs in the 4th inning to extend their winning streak to nine games with a victory over Bakersfield.  The HR was Williamson’s 24th of the season, moving him into 4th place on the San Jose single-season list.

Augusta GreenJackets – Low A South Atlantic League

Highlights/News: (W 6-3) LHP Joe Kurrasch set a season high with 12 strikeouts and moved to 5-0 with a 1.88 ERA since being called up to Augusta from Salem-Keizer as the GreenJackets defeated Hickory Sunday.  Augusta has now won 5 in a row and maintains a 4.5 game lead heading into the final few games of the season.
