I know how it is. You’re sitting there watching David Freese (Former Padre by the way) hit a walk off homer in Game Six of the World Series, and all you can think is how much better it would be if it was the Giants’ black and orange up to bat. Well now you only have to wait 123 days till you can Fear the Beard and set your weary eyes on The Freak.
The San Francisco Giants announced their Spring Training schedule for 2012 this morning. Under the Scottsdale sun, the Giants hope to start what is sure to be an impressive season.
Giants’ fans will be excited to see Buster Posey out on the playing field once again, since his rehabbing is going quite well. He might be a little tired after taking care of his newborn twins during the rest of the offseason.
With many questions during the offseason, this Spring Training is sure to be interesting and eventful. Will we see Brett Pill at first base? Is Brandon Crawford the Giants’ primary shortstop? What is going to happen with Carlos Beltran? And who will be leading off and/or playing centerfield?
March and April are sure to provide some great previews of the 2012 season. Every Giants’ fan should definitely try to make it to Arizona to see them, but if you try for a game where they’re playing the Cubs, you might be disappointed if you don’t buy your tickets early. Just a word of advice. You can book a Spring Training package on www.sfgiants.com currently, if that floats your boat. I hope to see a lot of my fellow Orange and Black Attackers in Scottsdale!
