The San Francisco Giants have a split squad on Saturday. Mariners will host the Giants at 1:05pm PT while the Giants will host the Athletics at home in Scottsdale at 3:05pm PT. Both games will be televised so call your local pizza place for a delivery today. The Giants at Mariners game will be on MLB.TV and the Giants vs. Athletics game will be on NBC Bay Area.

Edwin Escobar is having a fantastic spring and will start for the Giants at Mariners today. The LHP holds a 1.50 ERA in seven innings pitched for the Giants this spring.

Behind Escobar, Tony Abreu will be at 2B and Brandon Hicks will be at SS. Hicks is hitting .348 this spring which includes a two-run home run against Clayton Kershaw last Sunday. Other notables are Tyler Colvin as DH (.222 BA) and Darren Ford who recently returned to the Giants after time in Seattle and Pittsburgh, will be in CF.

Colvin was out for a few days with a back issue.

The Giants signed Ford to a minor league deal on March 8 so we haven’t seen much of him yet in Spring Training.

Matt Cain will start for the Giants vs. Athletics and has not allowed a run in eight innings this spring. In his last outing against the Cubs, he pitched five perfect innings with seven strikeouts.

Lineups:

Giants at Mariners

Giants vs. Athletics

Other notes from this morning, Angel Pagan is feeling better.
