SF Giants: 3 players whose career could be helped by shortened season

Shortened season could get Giants’ Mike Yastrzemski up for big payday
Giants OF Mike Yastrzemski finds himself in a similar boat to Dubon. He had an incredibly impressive rookie campaign in 2019, hitting .272/.334/.518 with 21 home runs and 55 RBI. One of the most exciting storylines for the Giants heading into 2020. was finding out whether his rookie season was a flash in the pan or whether he would be able to build upon it.
He did not tear it up in spring training, but perhaps the break will allow him to rest up and make some swing tweaks to get back to the way he was hitting in 2019. He is currently making the league minimum, but a strong 2020 could set him up for a big pay day.
The Giants have been looking for reliable starters in the outfield for quite some time, and we are all hoping that Yaz could be in the starting lineup for years to come.
"SF Giants: Three reasons Oracle Park is the best in baseball"
We all hope major league baseball can be played sooner rather than later, and while the MLB and MLBPA seem pretty far apart right now, there is still a glimmer of hope that we could see baseball in 2020. If it does, watch for Dubon, Webb, and Yaz to take advantage of the shortened season to make the most of it.
