The latest edition of MLB The Show just hit the market, and some of the ratings for San Francisco Giants players were less than friendly.

Baseball’s one and only official platform video game, MLB The Show 20, was just released on March 17. With that, we got our first glimpse at this year’s player ratings for the San Francisco Giants.

MLB The Show looks at every aspect of a player’s game — their speed, contact ability, power, defense, etc. — which comes to an overall numerical rating or “OVR” of that player. These OVRs move up and down throughout the season as the players improve or slip in certain categories.

But with 2020 season on hold amid the coronavirus outbreak, we have a unique opportunity to look at the initial OVR numbers of the San Francisco Giants players prior to any adjustments.

Upon review, there are three San Francisco Giants who seem deserving of better ratings.
