Brush up on Giants history

Some of you might be thinking about doing something you haven’t done since high school in light of the pandemic: reading a book.

Fear not if you are turned off by fiction, they write books about your favorite sports team too!

Brian Murphy wrote The San Francisco Giants: 50 Years back in 2008 recounting the first 50 years of baseball in San Francisco after the team moved from New York in 1958.

It is a great read for anyone, but especially for younger fans who may not be well-versed in the team’s history before the 2010s.

There is also a book coming out from John Shea and Willie Mays this May called Life Stories and Lessons from the Say Hey Kid. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind a little advice from the greatest to ever play the game of baseball.
