The San Francisco Giants have had some pleasant surprises so far in spring training. Ahead we’ll highlight five.

With 11 spring training games in the books, there have been a handful of surprises from San Francisco Giants camp.

Most of the early surprises have come from the pitching staff. With a rotation spot and a number of bullpen spots up for grabs, the competition among the pitching corps was always going to be a focal point of camp.

There have also been pleasant surprises among some of the team’s top prospects and how they have fared thus far in spring training.

We all know better than to overreact to some of these early surprises, but they are a positive sign nonetheless. Without further ado, let us take a look at the five biggest early surprises in spring training for the Giants.
